New England Dance is a professional dance school that strives to make the best out of each student in a kind and caring environment. All our teachers have many years of dance experience and love what they do. We want to make your dance experience both educational and fun.
Classes run from September through May. Our recital is normally at the end of May or beginning of June. Recital is optional although 99% of students choose to participate.
Pre-school dance classes – This dance class is designed for beginner dancers ages 2-4. Most students begin with preschool. The classes are a combination of Tap and Ballet. The children learn a Tap routine for their recital number.
All other level classes – If you are not sure which level class to register for please speak with your current teacher. The schedule provides a basic age guide for new students who have not taken dance from us before.
Tuition payment: FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE YOU MAY NOW PAY ON-LINE USING YOUR CREDIT CARD, DEBIT CARD OR EVEN A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. GO TO THE PAYMENT PAGE AND CLICK ON THE PAYPAL BUTTON.
The fee for dance lessons is a yearly fee. You may break the payments down into monthly installments. September and October are due before classes begin in September. Please do not misconstrue the payment schedule as being a monthly fee but a yearly fee divided into equal payments that is an obligation of the parent whether or not your child attends all the lessons. Your child may make up any lesson missed in another class of that level; just ask the desk for a current schedule of classes.

Inclement Weather: Please call the studio, check our website (theballerina.com) or our Facebook page. Cancelled classes due to inclement weather will not be made up. Your child may make up any lesson missed in another class of the same level.
Recital: As in the past, any child not wishing to perform in the recital is under no obligation to do so and may continue to take their class each week. PLEASE BE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE RESPONSIBILITY AND COMMITMENT OF PERFORMING IN A RECITAL BEFORE COMMITTING TO IT. THERE ARE ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE RECITAL AS IN: COSTUME PURCHASE (PRICE RANGE $95-$150) AND THE PURCHASE OF TICKETS TO ATTEND THE SHOW. Costumes: A costume deposit of $75.00 per costume is due in November and the balance of the costume is due in February. This deposit indicates that your child would like to perform in the recital and that you will be responsible for the balance of each costume ordered. Costume prices are anywhere from $95-$150. No costume will be distributed unless paid in full.
Newsletters: Monthly newsletters will be emailed to you. They contain information about school vacation dates, recital & rehearsal dates, other important dates, and reminders about anything going on in that month. If you would like to receive a newsletter, please provide us with your address by emailing it to nataliam@theballerina.com. If you prefer not to receive the newsletter by email, copies will be available at the school. The newsletter contains a lot of important information. Please take a few minutes to read it.
